Summer is officially over. How can we be so sure? Reading and Leeds finished yesterday.

 

So, how should we welcome autumn? Spend the season watching Reading and Leeds highlights (and of course buy tickets to next years festival).

As usual, the British summer has been a let down but the Reading and Leeds line ups this year make up for it. 

 

Featuring You Me At Six, Kasabian, Mallory Knox, Rat Boy, The Amazons and over another 40 of our favourite live acts, we're actually quite glad we traded our our summer sunshine for this years line up.

We love both festivals so much but for another year we aren’t at Reading or Leeds. No, we’re still in Glasgow. 

But if you’re like us, not in the middle of a field surrounded by strangers but are at home (or even on holiday), you can still pretend to yourself that you’re there in spirit and watch everything online via BBC Iplayer.

I have not written about this band in a long time. Mainly because they disappeared last July after the tweet, 'We'll Be Back'.

To all those who question the existence of post concert depression I ask you one question.

Have you ever seen your heroes live, in the flesh, in front of you ?

If you have, see that feeling where you come to realise you might never see them again. Where your happy, elated, but at the same time hit with a sudden sadness ? This is the symptoms of post concert depression.

After last night, where All Time Low and You Me At Six played an incredible gig at the Hydro in Glasgow, I'm still in recovery mode.

Cavalier Youth : 1 Year 1 Day Old

This time You Me At Six released 'Cavalier Youth', their fourth album, which gave them their first number one album. Its one of my favourite albums of last year which saw a change in the bands music style but all the same its an incredible album even a year after its release.

Genuinely if you don't have it just go listen online and listen and you never know you might just buy it.

2014 has been a huge year in the music industry and just before the year ends I decided my albums of 2014 had to be written somewhere .

Their not the most perfect albums , or not the shortest named.  A lot of them are début albums, but I prefer all of them to bands who are maybe on their fourth studio album turning out the same music year on year .
