Review : You Me At Six Live in Glasgow

The Glasgow O2 Academy. An old cinema made into a music venue where last night You Me At Six kicked off their UK Spring Tour 2014. The supports couldn't have been better, the amazing Young Kato and the hyper looking Don Broco.

Young Kato are a six-piece alternative indie-rock band, which formed in 2011. Their sound is different but iconic with the bands two guitars, bass, keyboard, drums and vocals. Their loveable lyrics and indie-rock sounds are amazing to hear live. Their single 'Drink Dance Play' sounds unbelievable in an old cinema filled with hundreds of people, and it alone is worth the money just for the experience.

The second support was Don Broco, the hyper alternative rock band from Beford. Their energy doesn't seem to have depleted in the last six years since their formation in 2008. Their lyrics and choruses will stay with you hours after the songs finished.

The crowd of full of music lovers, die hard fans and parents brought by their pre-teens who couldn't come alone.

The atmosphere of a You Me At Six concert is unbelievable. The crowd knows every word to every song, every little pause and every on purposely skipped drum beat is counted for.

Although the new album Cavalier Youth was only released on the 26th of January this year, every song seems to be memorised by fans and loved. After the wide acceptance of Sinners Never Sleep in 201, the band has pulled out all the stops and created an amazing fourth album.

This was the first night of two in Glasgow before the band and supports head south for the rest of the UK tour.

If you get the chance go to the tour and see three amazing bands at the same concert. You wont regret it.
