Review : Kodaline Live In Glasgow

Kodaline, the lovable, indie-rock four piece from Dublin, played live last night in the hallowed Barrowlands, Glasgow.

From the off start the atmosphere was incredible. The support acts were the incredible sounding Amber Run and talented James Bay.

The five piece from Nottingham, Amber Run sounded incredible live. Their single 'Spark' sounds beautiful live, having elements of Mumford and Sons, Kodaline and Coldplay throught out. The rest of their set sounded amazing and hopefully they will headline a summer festival soon as they are the perfect band to do it.

The good support acts set up for an incredible band. Being properly formed in only 2012, Kodalines intimacy and passion was timeless. Steve's voice sounded at home with the foreign Glaswegian crowd yet both accents intermingled and sounded beautiful. Every song sounded amazing, with the Glaswegian crowd singing all the bands honest lyrics, word for word perfect.

The bands album 'In a perfect world' was released 14th of June, 2013 and entered the Irish charts at number one. For me its an album for the summer. Its easy to just lie and listen to when its nice, thinking about all the lyrics and meaning it entails.

You go to concerts expecting a certain level. Seeing Kodaline live, changed my perspective as they were unbelievable live. They're a definite must see.
