March Favourites

I thought it was time to write about the tracks I'm loving at the moment. I've been pretty quiet for the last few months and I'm so sorry about it, but I promise it's going to be worth it. Tomorrow I'm announcing my huge new project, but today as its the end of March, I thought I'd write about some of my favourite tracks and albums from this month.

The first is 'Hourglass' from my favourites at Two Year Break. I've featured the band a couple of times on this blog and you all seem to love them as much as I do. Hourglass is the band's latest track, released today and already I'm in love with it.

San Cisco's debut album was released five years ago. Yes, we feel old, but they've released a new song and great video to go with it, which might help you feel a bit better. I am very jealous of the gorgeous weather featured and I'm very jealous of every person who has seen this band live. Five years on and I still haven't made it to a gig or festival set. I'm working on it. For now, we have this track, 'Hey, Did I Do You Wrong?' and it's a good one.

There's already been a lot of great music released this year. Lots of it is sounding better than ever and already we've had a few strong debut albums. A week today will see the release of an album I cannot wait for. It's of course 'That's Your Lot', Blaenavon's debut album. My excitement is unreal. I genuinely cannot wait for it. I promise I'll try to contain myself. 7 days away. 7 DAYS.

Another debut album which I'm still coming to terms with its existence is Creepers debut album 'Eternity, In Your Arms'. I saw this band early last year when they were on tour with Neck Deep and State Champs. Since, the support for this band has grew and grew. They aren't your 'normal' band, darkness and mystery tends to shroud everything they do, but you'll love them. If you're into Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Dead!, Marmozets, Basement you'll probably love this band.

This next album is the album I've been waiting for the longest. Since the release of their debut album, I've just wanted more and more music from Circa Waves. Call me (slightly) obsessed and bias if you may, but I really love this band and this album. The album is slightly heavier sounding than the debut but I'm not complaining. I prefer it. The album does sound more grown up than the debut and isn't the same, which is always a good thing. I'm in love with it and especially the track 'Old Friends' at the very end of the album.

Although March is over, April is coming and with it comes more new music and new albums.
