Soundcloud Sunday ft. Wallows, Dear CAROLINE + The Bedroom High Club

Our favourite time of the year is right now. Everyone seems to be on tour and our cities are buzzing with new music. With that being said we've narrowed down a few of our current favourite tracks from this week including Wallows, Bedroom High Club and BBC Introducing favourites Dear CAROLINE.

Diving straight in with one band we have had on repeat for the most part of this week, alternative three-piece Wallows. They may only have three tracks released but we're pretty much in love with this band already. We've been travelling a lot this week and somehow this band's tracks are pretty much perfect for long car journeys and late night drives. Every time we picked someone up or dropped them off, they'd question what track we're listening to and the majority of the time it was something from this band.

As we said, three tracks aren't much (especially when you play them on repeat for a few hours like us) but they have us excited for what is to come.

In a city known for music, it's difficult to stand out when every second person is in a band and writing music. Playing gigs in the north is a rite of passage for any musician in the UK. Acknowledged as being home for some of the countries biggest indie bands, the north is known for its guitar-driven indie bands who will do anything it takes to make it. Dear CAROLINE are no different.

Rising quickly through Manchester's music scene and BBC Introducing on their side, it won't be long till some people will develop a manic obsession for them.

Comparing musicians is something we're not best at but think of DearCAROLINE as a darker sounding combination of The Smiths, the Arctic Monkeys and the Sherlocks. Don't just take our word for it, we've linked their latest track 'Felt Like Forever' below so you can check it out for yourself.

A week in and we're already making one slight exclusion to this playlist - mainly because this band aren't on Soundcloud (or Youtube, or Spotify, or Apple music) but we love them anyway.

So who are we talking about? Yorkshire indie four-piece The Bedroom High Club.
So far the band have only one track online. It's from their very first gig, in Sheffield, and instantly you like them. (Is it just us they had that effect on?)

There is very little music online but the band are promising new music will be released 'soon-ish'. We're hoping for a few new tracks (a debut EP would be something else).

It's difficult not to not like this band. Without even releasing a debut single they're making an impact and you genuinely want them to do well. Already having supported Misfires earlier this year, it's pretty clear to see where The Bedroom High Club are headed.
