Hailing from Sheffield and made up of brothers, The Sherlocks seem to be the perfected British indie band.
The minuet Sheffeild is mentioned, everyone thinks of the Actric Monkeys whether you love or hate them. Its an automatic response. An impulse. The only way to stop the association is to replace one band with another. The Arctic Monkeys success is undeniable. 'Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not' was the fastest selling debut album in British music history going to number one at its release and quintuple platinum in the UK since. The Sherlocks may be that very 'replacement' band.
There's something magnetic about this band. Instantly you get drawn to their music and get hooked on it.
With 8 tracks released and their 2013 album 'First Bite Of The Apple', this band amaze me how they are still unsigned.
Coming from a year of releases, UK tours and festival slots at Reading and Leeds, 2016 looks to be huge kicking off with a massive UK tour in February. Personally I can't wait for summer, for the festival season which will hopefully be full of live sets from this band.
