Ed Sheeran Live at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow

Small, live, intimate concerts are great for discovering new artists and helping bands establish themselves. Huge, nationwide arena tours put somethings back into perspective.

Going to Ed Sheeran on Halloween, killed two birds with one stone, going to see the two time Brit winner and missing Halloween which has never been a favourite holiday of mine.

Support acts for shows like this are usually either on of two things. Either an other huge act who is well known or smaller acts with huge potential being given the chance to show off who they are to a huge audience. When the support acts were announced for this tour I could not have been happier.

Jamie Lawson was the first support act. Sounding slightly similar to Ben Howard, Lawson brings something new and different to the genre. He's good and kept the crowd content, until mentioning 'Ed Sheeran' and of course then the screaming started.

Sheeran's second support act was Saint Raymond who I utterly adore. Saint Raymond - who's real name is Callum Burrows - received some support from BBC Introdcuing which lead to him landing a slot at Reading and Leeds 2013. 'Young Blood' by Saint Raymond went to number four in the UK charts and was once Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World. Saint Raymond is incredible live, only age 19 and genuinely a nice guy.

Then came the main act, Sheeran himself dressed as Austin Powers, opening with 'I'm a mess'. It's remarkable to listen to an arena, filled with 13,000 people, sing every last word from Sheeran's number one albums + (Plus) and X (Multiply).

I honestly suggest for everyone to listen to both albums because their beautiful sounding, filled with heart breaks, longing and being in love with someone and everything that comes along with it.
