Earlier this week, we were given the chance to listen to the debut EP from Airways before it was released. Titled 'Starting To Spin', we've seriously struggled not talking about it.
Co-produced by our favourites over in Nothing But Thieves, this EP is everything we could have wanted and more.
The EP features the band's previous tracks 'Reckless Tounge' and 'One Foot', which have received support from BBC Radio 1, Spotify and the lovely people over at BBC Introducing. this band are headed for big things.
They've already toured with some of the best live acts at the moment, including the Hunna, Nothing But Thieves, Sunset Sons, and they even played at SXSW this year.
Listening to this EP, we're immediately thought of The Amazons and Fronteers. You could say it sounds similar to early Arctic's tracks but with an underlay of Cage The Elephant's thunder.
'Starting To Spin' is everything we've wanted a band to release. Considering this is a debut EP, this band have set the standards bar even higher. If you want to find 'the next big thing' in music, you've just found them.
