Review : The 1975 Live in Glasgow
From the doors of the Glasgow 02 ABC a queue of eager fans is trailed round the corner and up the next hill. All waiting to hear the voice of Matt Healy with George Daniel on drums, Adam Hann on guitar and Ross MacDonald on bass, better known as The 1975.
Seeing the band live is just taking their album to another level. Everything good sounds so much better. Listening to the lyrics, and watching Healy bounce about the stage, reminding everyone of that little part of them that is still young. Being able to watch each song being preformed live, in front of you brings the album and lyrics to life.
The minuet their better known songs were played like Sex, The City or Chocolate the full room resonated and the crowd drowned out Healy on stage.
A year on from their first plays on Radio One, the band shows theres something to love about alternative-rock-indie-electronic sounds.
The bands self titled album, The 1975, came out earlier this month and is definitely something special.
The 1975. A band that are going to take off in the next year.
