Pretty Vicious

For a long time my favourite Welsh export was Stereophonics, who became my second favourites after Catfish and the Bottlemen stole my heart, but now Pretty Vicious might change everything.

Their young, relentlessly indie-rock and quiet easily will become a huge band, taking over festival main stages, captivating audiences with their music and stealing the nations hearts.

Hailing from Merthyr, north of the welsh capital Cardiff, the four piece headlined the BBC Introducing Stage Glastonbury, played at the Isle of Wight Festival and supported Manic Street Preachers at their gig in Cardiff Castle.

Ranging from just 18-16 the quartet could surpass the Arctic Monkeys who released their debut album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' when Turner was just 20. Their debut album from 2006 is still the fastest selling debut album in the UK which includes their first two number one singles 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and 'When The Sun Goes Down.'

Pretty Vicious with incredible singles already like 'Cave Song', 'Its Always There' and 'Just Another Story', this band are inevitably destined for big things ahead.

The band are set to play festivals like Latitude, Reading and Leeds, Jersey Live and even Summer Sonic in Tokyo later this summer before embarking on their UK tour visiting,

Some people are calling this band the next Oasis or the next Arctic Monkeys. I'm calling them incredible. I think they'll outdo all expectations and become something utterly incredible. Their sound is there own and whilst it has huge similarities and influences, its unique and its completely theirs.

Pretty Vicious haven't released much yet - hopefully there is a lot more to come - but they have released a 2 single-type-EP, 'Its Always There', on Itunes and its definitely worth a listen at least.

Big things are to come for this band for sure.
