Model Aeroplanes skywards success

With their heartfelt lyrics, tropical summer time feeling and growing success, for Model Aeroplanes the sky’s the limit.

Model Aeroplanes, Dundee's honest, loveable indie four piece, graced King Tuts on Tuesday night as part of their Scottish tour.

After their 2013 BBC Introducing set at T in the Park, which saw huge crowds flock to the introducing stage for their set, and their sucessful single 'Crazy', Model Aeroplanes have gone from strength.

Their Scottish tour is pretty special for more than one reason. The band are incredible live, they have an unbelievable stage presence adaptable from the stages of T in the Park and other major European festivals, to the containment of the likes of King Tuts which has a rough capacity of 300 people. Their tour is significant in the Scotland's music scene because their a Scottish band choosing to tour in their home country most of the time, rather than abandoning their homes and touring in England like a lot of bands tend to do to try and gain more support. Like at any other concert, Model Aeroplanes have the space in the crowd closest to the stage occupied by screaming girls, singing along to some of their best known singles.

They've got their own sound, with slight hints of the Kooks, Bombay Bicycle Club and Vampire Weekend, however their sound is entirely there own.

They've found incredible success with their singles 'Crazy', 'Innocent Love', 'Electricity' and even their newest single 'Deep In The Pool.' They've been played multiple times on Radio One, playing huge festivals like T in the Park, caught hundreds of bloggers attention, seem to have stolen the hearts of every crowd they play to and their still not signed which is unbelievable considering their talent and success.

Hopefully they'll release a debut album sooner or later, which will showcase their incredible talent, long lasting friendship, triumphantly making more people fall in love with them and their music.

This year their set to play Dot to Dot, The Great Escape, Barn On The Farm, 110 Above and X&Y festivals ontop of being the support band for Dog Is Dead's Nottingham show.

Huge things are bound to come for this band. Their hard working, deserving all the attention their getting and so much more. Hopefully one day they'll return to T in the Park, only this time as headliners on the main stage. One day they'll be flying worldwide, just hopefully not on just model aeroplanes.
