Of Monsters and Men are five piece indie-folk-pop-rock band from Iceland. The band formed in 2010 and quickly found success in Iceland. In August 2011 a radio station in Philadelphia started to play 'Little Talks' and the band started to become popular in the US.
The band signed to Universal and released the 'Into The Woods EP' on the 20th of December 2011. Their debut album 'My Head Is an Animal' was released internationally on the 3rd of April 2012.
In 2013 Of Monsters and Men played at T in the Park, Cochella, Optimus Alive and even Glastonbury. Their music has been featured in the soundtrack to the 'Hunger Games : Catching fire', the trailer for the 2013 film 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' and the introduction video released in September 2012 for the Iphone 5.
The bands music consist of a lot of percussion, drums, accordion, a really loud trumpet and beautiful story telling lyrics with gorgeous dual vocals.
They're an amazing band producing beautiful music.
